For those who don't know us yet: 

We are a european folk-pop band based in Berlin. Jules Etienne (voc, guitar) founded the band in 2010 with Yanneck Salvo (pianet, voc) and Jules Valeron (bassguitar, voc), in 2011 Maryz Blue (cello, voc) joined the band, now called "Jules Etienne e le volpi"(...and the foxes).

The songs can be described as diary music, intimate stories told with warm voices and bittersweet melodies. You might like us if you listen to Kings of Convenience, Nick Drake or Simon and Garfunkel.

London

I'm back from London and will start blogging regularly about my musical and photographic activities, but also about what inspires me and i will also be sharing some songs i've been working on over the past months, so stay tuned!

I went to London with my Band Jules Etienne as we got invited by Howard and Lucy from "The Local" to play at the the "Slaughtered Lamb".
We played a really good show, drank some pints and i enjoyed walking around this dynamic city. It felt good to see so many colored people, old majestic buildings and well-dressed ladies and gents. To feel traditional british flavour and the energy and high pace of London town. Had a great time - and glad to be back in Berlin!

Jules Etienne Tour Dates and cover-song-contest

We will play again at the fantastic "Ä" Bar in Kreuzkölln coming wednesday (21.07.).
They have great atmosphere, cheap beer, nice people, Tischfussball..
And it's Free Entrance!
We have also launched a cover-song-contest:
you can ask us to play our version of a song you like and if we like it too, we will play it at one of our next concerts!

Radio and Concerts

Yesterday Jules Etienne was invited to Unsigned at Radio Fritz so we went to Potsdam/Babelsberg to play some songs. It went pretty well and we hope that a lot of people heard it and will support us, for example by coming to the gig
tomorrow at Zur Möbelfabrik, Brunnenstrasse 10, Berlin Mitte.

And on saturday we will celebrate 1 year of Coconuts-Power.

Approximately at the same time last year we had our first rehearsal with today's lineup: Sandro, Jules Etienne, Valeron and Vera. We had some great concerts that summer before Vera went to discover the world and left us boys back in Berlin. Fortunately she came back a few weeks ago and we are happy to play our reunion-gig coming saturday (24.04.) at Beakers, Prenzlauer Berg.

Jules Etienne @ Junction Bar

I'm happy to be on stage again with Jules Etienne coming sunday, the 6th of April at Junction Bar in Kreuzberg. The concert starts at 9 p.m. with Martin Tetzlaff solo, and then it's gonna be Jules Etienne singing his folk-pop-songs, acompanied by Yanneck aka Quarion at the pianet and myself at the bass.

We will also be performing at Fritz-Radio's Ken Fm on Sundy the 18th of april, so stay tuned and hope to see you an sunday!

Jules Etienne live at "Ä" in Neukölln on wednesday

As some of you might already know i am playing bass and singing in my friend and fellow Coconut Jules Etienne's band. Together with Yanneck aka Quarion, who's playing the pianet and is my heavenly-voices-choir-partner, we are performing Jules Etienne's lovely folk-songs that melt the coldest heart.
